Operational Alerts Directly in Slack Channels
The DockRay integration with Slack automatically sends application monitoring alerts directly to selected Slack channels. Your team is notified about issues immediately, without having to constantly check the DockRay dashboard.
Monitoring Alerts Directly in Slack
DockRay can send notifications to Slack when it detects an issue that requires your team's attention.
Notifications can include:
- application or website downtime,
- expiring SSL certificates,
- performance issues,
- new errors and exceptions,
- sudden increases in error rates.
Separate Channels for Different Alerts
You can select a different Slack channel for each type of event. Downtime alerts can be sent to your technical team’s channel, while performance notifications can go to the people responsible for maintaining the application.
You can also disable selected notification types entirely.
Account and Project Configuration
You can configure default Slack settings for your entire DockRay account and then override them for individual projects. This lets you tailor notifications to different applications and teams.
Quick Access to the Issue
Each alert includes the most important information about the detected event and lets you quickly open DockRay to review the details and start troubleshooting.
Before enabling notifications, you can send a test message to make sure alerts are delivered to the correct channel.
Installation
You can configure the Slack integration in the DockRay dashboard under Settings → Notification Channels.
