How to Verify That DockRay Is Working Correctly in Magento
After installing and configuring DockRay in Magento, it's worth checking whether the integration is successfully sending events to your project. A test confirms that the connection is working and, if problems occur, helps you identify where data stops coming through.
Sending a Test Event
In the Magento admin panel, navigate to the DockRay configuration or select DockRay → Overview, then click Send a test event. You can also run the test from the terminal without using the admin panel:
bin/magento dockray:test

After sending the test event, open the errors section in the project associated with your token. Check whether a new event has appeared, and verify its type, environment, timestamp, and request context. If the test uses a temporary route or code that triggers an exception, remove it after verification to avoid generating unnecessary reports.
Common DockRay Issues in Magento
The Module Is Installed, but Events Are Not Being Received
In a production environment, run Magento dependency injection compilation after installing the module:
bin/magento setup:di:compile
Also check that the module is enabled, the configuration contains the correct project token and private key, and the server can establish outbound HTTPS connections. If the connection status is correct but events are not appearing in the project, check the selected environment and Magento logs as well.
The Vulnerability Report Is Not Being Sent
The vulnerability report is sent by Magento cron every 15 minutes. Make sure cron jobs are configured and executed by the server's crontab. You can also send the report manually by running:
bin/magento dockray:inventory:send
After sending the report, check the vulnerability report section in the DockRay dashboard. If the report is still unavailable, verify the vulnerability scanning configuration and ensure that cron jobs are running correctly.
JavaScript Errors Are Not Appearing in DockRay
The JavaScript error collector is disabled by default. Enable it in the DockRay configuration in Magento, then clear the full-page cache. If you use Varnish, clear its cache as well so that the monitoring script is served on your store's pages.
After changing the configuration, open your store in a browser and check whether the script is loaded and JavaScript errors are reported according to your settings.
Is DockRay Still Not Receiving Data?
If the connection test hasn't resolved the issue, follow the checklist for troubleshooting missing data in the dashboard. If you still can't identify the cause, contact us. Include your project name, the approximate time of the test, and the types of events that are not being received. This information will help us investigate the issue.
