DockRay Alerts Sent to Selected Discord Channels
The DockRay integration with Discord automatically sends application monitoring alerts directly to selected Discord channels. Your team is notified about issues immediately, without having to constantly check the DockRay dashboard.
Monitoring Alerts in Discord
DockRay can send notifications to Discord when monitoring detects an event that requires your team's attention.
Notifications can include:
- application or website downtime,
- expiring SSL certificates,
- performance issues,
- new errors and exceptions,
- sudden increases in error rates.
Separate Channels for Different Alerts
You can select a different Discord channel for each type of event. This allows alerts to be sent directly to the team responsible for a specific area of the application.
Notifications include the most important information about the event, such as the project, issue type, detection time, and the context needed to quickly assess the problem.
Account and Project Configuration
You can configure default Discord settings for your entire DockRay account and then override them for individual projects. This allows different applications and teams to use different channels.
Quick Access to the Issue
Each alert includes a direct link to the event details in DockRay, allowing your team to quickly open the dashboard, review additional information, and start troubleshooting.
Before enabling notifications, you can send a test message to make sure alerts are delivered to the correct channel.
Installation
You can configure the Discord integration in the DockRay dashboard under Settings → Notification Channels.
- Create an application and bot in the Discord Developer Portal.
- Add the bot to your Discord server.
