PrestaShop
Module for PrestaShop 1.7.8+, 8.x, and 9.x
What it is for
The official DockRay module connects PrestaShop to the monitoring platform and automatically reports PHP errors and unhandled exceptions. Issues occurring in the store, theme, or installed modules are sent directly to the DockRay dashboard.
Error Information
Reported events can include:
- the error type and message,
- where the error occurred and the stack trace,
- environment and application version information,
- context related to the request being processed.
The module can also monitor request processing times and optionally collect JavaScript errors occurring in the storefront.
Simple Configuration
You can configure the integration under Modules → Module Manager → DockRay → Configure by entering your project token and private key. Selected configuration settings can also be overridden for a specific environment.
Privacy and Developer Features
Sending customer data, IP addresses, and user agents is optional. This allows you to adjust the scope of collected information to your project's requirements and privacy policy.
The module also allows you to manually report exceptions from PHP, as well as errors and custom messages from JavaScript code.
Installation
Installation from the PrestaShop Administration Panel
- Download the latest dockray-prestashop.zip package.
- Log in to the PrestaShop administration panel.
- Go to Modules → Module Manager and select “Upload a module”.
- Select the downloaded archive and wait for the installation to complete.
- Open the DockRay module configuration.
- Enter the project token and private key available in the DockRay dashboard.
- Save the settings and send a test event to verify that the connection is working correctly.
Once configured, the module will automatically start reporting supported errors and exceptions to DockRay.
Installation from the Command Line
unzip dockray-prestashop.zip -d modules/
php bin/console prestashop:module install dockray
php bin/console cache:clear
After installation, open the DockRay module configuration in the PrestaShop administration panel, enter your project token and private key, and save the settings. Finally, send a test event to make sure the integration is working correctly.
How to use it
The integration reports exceptions on its own. This is for the reports you send deliberately.
<?php
use Dock\Ray\PrestaShop\Reporter;
try {
$cart->validateOrder(...);
} catch (\Throwable $e) {
Reporter::report($e);
throw $e;
}
